Did you know that there are several ways that we have been turning "trash into treasure or cold cash”?
We now have three new ways to help the school turn trash into treasure:
1) Inkjet Cartridges – Please send in your empty inkjet cartridges. These cartridges are redeemed to be recycled and used again. The school earns cash for all undamaged inkjet cartridges.
2) CELL PHONES – Cell phones that are operational and undamaged are redeemed for cash.
3) LASER TONER CARTRIDGES - In 1998, a record 42-million toner cartridges were sold in the United States alone. Fortunately, toner cartridges are one of the most convenient office products to recycle. We’ll receive cash for the cartridges and help reduce the amount that goes to landfills.
4) COMMUNITY COFFEE UPC'S - Throughout the year we collect the UPC labels from all community coffee products. Once a year we redeem them for cash.
5) CAMPBELL'S LABELS FOR EDUCATION - Throughout the year we collect the front label panel from all:
Campbell Products
Franco American Gravies and Pastas
Marie's Croutons, Dip & Salsas
Pepperidge Farm Products
Swanson Broths and Frozen Foods
V-8 Juices
We have received many educational items from this wonderful program.
6) NEWSPAPER RECYCLING - Did you know that behind the cafeteria there is a newspaper-recycling bin in which to place old newspaper? (No magazines or plastics please.) This helps generate funds for technology.
MANY THANKS TO ALL OF YOU WHO HAVE HELPED US WITH OUR 'TRASH FOR TREASURES' PROGRAM.
